your appointment and the next steps.
Getting started
When is the office open?
Office hours are Monday - Friday · 09:00 - 17:00 CEST. Visits are by appointment only. The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Our office is at Buitenveldertselaan 106, 1081 AB Amsterdam. Times follow Amsterdam local time: CET in winter and CEST in summer.
Is the telephone service available 24/7?
Yes. Our telephone service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week on +31 20 782 10 10, including evenings and weekends. You can leave a callback request or ask for help arranging an appointment.
Consultations and callbacks with a legal expert are arranged separately. The 24/7 service does not mean that a legal expert is available for an immediate consultation.
Who is behind The Immigration Lawyer?
Founded by renowned legal expert Roi D. Banet, The Immigration Lawyer is operated by Banet & Partners B.V., a specialist legal consultancy focused on Dutch immigration and nationality matters.
Explore our approach and the founder’s experience.
Is the introductory callback free?
Yes. A brief introductory callback about a new matter is free of charge, whether you contact us for yourself or your organisation. It helps us understand your enquiry and explain how we may assist. For a legal assessment and advice on your options, book the advice package. Work on an existing matter follows the arrangements already agreed with you.
Request a callback online, call our 24/7 telephone service on +31 20 782 10 10, or email info@theimmigrationlawyer.nl. Include your telephone number and country code, and keep your enquiry brief.
How do I contact you about an existing matter?
Contact your legal expert directly, request a callback online, or call our 24/7 telephone service on +31 20 782 10 10. You can also email info@theimmigrationlawyer.nl. Mention your name, telephone number with country code, legal expert and case reference if available. Please keep the outline brief and leave out confidential case details or documents.
If you have already emailed us, mention this in your callback request so we can connect the two.
When will I be called back?
You can submit the online form at any time or call our 24/7 telephone service. Callbacks with a legal expert are arranged separately. A specific callback time is confirmed only when agreed with that expert; submitting a request does not reserve a time. Please mention any relevant deadline when you contact us.
A callback request does not book a consultation. To book the advice package, choose a time and complete payment. Your initial consultation is then confirmed automatically.
The advice package
What does the advice package include?
Two and a half hours of personal consultation, plus a specialist review of your matter: a 60-minute initial consultation, a legal review of the relevant information and documents, and a separate 90-minute concluding consultation to discuss findings and next steps. Meet by video or at our Amsterdam office.
You gain a clear understanding of your Dutch immigration or nationality options, the requirements and evidence, potential risks and practical next steps. There is time to discuss your questions and, where appropriate, how to submit an application yourself.
Are the two consultations held consecutively?
No. The legal review takes place between the two consultations and may take several days. Once it is ready, we send you a private link to book your concluding consultation to discuss findings and next steps, with no additional package payment.
Who can use the package, and what does it cover?
One connected Dutch immigration or nationality matter, for an individual, family or business. Related circumstances of a partner or children may be included. For business advice, we agree the organisation, people and questions covered. Please contact us before booking for multiple employee cases, separate matters or an unusually extensive dossier.
What should I prepare, and how long will the review take?
Note your objectives, questions and any relevant dates. You do not need a complete dossier to book. During the initial consultation, we agree the documents needed, how to share them and the expected review timetable. Timing depends on the matter and receipt of the necessary information.
If a deadline is approaching, contact us before paying. Please do not upload confidential case documents through the booking form. Preparing for your consultation.
Will I receive written advice?
Advice is explained in the consultations. Written advice is not included as standard; its scope and an additional fee can be agreed during either consultation.
Is further handling of my matter included?
No. Further assistance, including application preparation or submission, correspondence and representation, is agreed separately. We can discuss the scope and fees during either consultation.
External costs, such as government application fees, translations, legalisation and third-party expenses, are also excluded.
Fees, VAT & appointments
How much does the package cost?
One fixed fee of €750, including VAT where applicable, for individuals and businesses alike. Both consultations and the legal review are included; there is no second package payment.
Is VAT included in the €750 price?
Yes. Any applicable VAT is included in the advertised fee and is never added at checkout.
Where 21% Dutch VAT applies, the €750 total consists of €619.83 for the service and €130.17 VAT. Where no Dutch VAT is charged, the total remains €750. We apply the appropriate treatment to your invoice. Any reverse-charge obligations for business clients are governed by the applicable tax rules and do not change the amount paid to us.
Can my business reclaim VAT?
A Dutch business may deduct the VAT shown on its invoice to the extent the advice is used for activities that give a right to input VAT deduction and the other conditions are met. This is not automatic for every business. Private clients cannot reclaim VAT on this private expense. Where no Dutch VAT is charged, there is no Dutch VAT on our invoice to deduct.
See the Dutch Tax Administration’s conditions for VAT deduction.
How do I arrange a business invoice?
After booking, email your company’s legal name, billing address and VAT number, if applicable, to info@theimmigrationlawyer.nl, quoting your booking reference. We use these details to prepare the invoice with the applicable VAT treatment.
I have paid but have not received a confirmation. What should I do?
Check your inbox and spam folder for the booking confirmation. If it is missing, contact us before paying again so we can check the payment and booking together.
Share your name, the email address used for booking, your chosen appointment and any booking or payment reference available. Please do not send card details, banking codes or confidential case information.
Our telephone service is available 24/7 for messages and appointment arrangements. Callbacks with a legal expert are arranged separately.
If the calendar will not load, use its retry button or contact us through any of the options above. For a declined payment, follow the payment provider’s message; if you are unsure whether money was taken, contact us before trying again.
When do I pay?
The full package fee is paid when you book your initial consultation. Choose a time, enter your contact details and pay through Stripe.
After successful payment, your initial appointment is confirmed automatically and the meeting details arrive by email. Your concluding consultation is also confirmed automatically when you book through the private link sent after your review. No further package payment is needed.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
You may request a different appointment time, subject to availability, or cancel your appointment. The package fee remains payable and is not refunded for a change, cancellation or non-attendance, except where mandatory consumer rights require otherwise.
Use the reschedule or cancellation link in your confirmation email. To move an appointment, choose from the available times. If no suitable time appears, the link is unavailable or the appointment has already passed, contact us as soon as possible for help. See our advice package terms for cancellation and statutory withdrawal information.
Can we meet by video or in person?
Yes. Both consultations can take place by video or in person. In-person meetings are by appointment at Buitenveldertselaan 106, 1081 AB Amsterdam, unless we agree another arrangement with you. The booking calendar shows appointments in your selected time zone. Our office hours follow Amsterdam local time (CET/CEST).
The Platform & Academy
What does The Platform offer?
The Platform is available to selected private and business clients in a secure, private environment. It brings together intake, documents, progress and communication. Your legal expert will explain the functions available for your matter and provide access instructions where relevant.
You can book and pay for an advice package through our advice package page without platform access. Explore the interactive platform preview for an illustration of the experience.
Can I express interest in the Academy?
Yes. The Academy is being developed around legal research, careful analysis and practical learning in immigration and nationality law. You can email info@theimmigrationlawyer.nl to express interest. A programme schedule and admission arrangements have not yet been announced.
